Men Against Cancer (M.A.C)

Men Against Cancer Organization

Men Against Cancer (M.A.C) began in 2010 at South Carolina State University under Dr. Wright.
She is the CEO of the organization who has had plenty of success within the organization.

Dr.Wright created the organization to help cancer survivors. Cancer has torn her family apart, especially when breast cancer killed her mom. "It was heartbreaking to see my mom past. I cried for months! she was my rock and soul." Dr. Wright said.

Dr.Wright plans numerous events with the students in the organization to help raise money for cancer. The profit that is made is sent to the hospital. During the Fall semester of 2015 the organization created a show for a dying patient. She was 28 years old when she passed. The money raised was for her beloved child who has begun to grow up without either parents.

Dr. Wright loves to help people in need. She express her feeling to help others when asked about cancer. "I truly wanted the younger generation coming through college to understand cancer is not our friend."

To help raise money within the organization the men help her set up a tent outside the gate on Saturdays as individuals walks through the gates into the Bulldog football game. During that time she sells T-shirts, wristbands, socks, and other items.

Every year she has students join the organization to make a difference in someone's life. Many join because cancer has affected him or her in many ways. The fee to join the club is $10. Help Dr. Wright create ways to make profit for cancer. If you want to join please be on the lookout for posters on SC State's campus in the  beginning of the fall semester.
